Karen is a fierce advocate for quality neighborhoods and improvements, residential street and alley repairs, pedestrian safety and traffic calming projects.  She is an advocate for community policing, putting more police on the streets and in neighborhoods.  She supports the cities' efforts to increase affordable housing for all income levels and services for low-income families, seniors and veterans.

Karen stands for principles of fairness and equality inside City Hall.  She has earned the reputation as a no-nonsense community leader who encourages opposing opinions and works towards solutions that reflect diverse views.  For her, it has always been "about people, not politics".

"I believe in you, my neighbors and fellow citizens. I believe in Spokane’s future.  I believe we can create a better world.  That is why I am running to retain my seat on the City Council. "   Karen
